Favorites

I'm working on my favorite type of pot as I finish up this making cycle before we fire up the wood kiln next week.  Enjoying the process the whole way, these two teapots have a few more details built into them.  I feel so fulfilled working on a teapot, adding each integral part until the teapot is finished, not worrying about how long it takes to make the handle or any part of it for that matter.  It's those moments that highlight the reason I'm a potter.  These teapots are proudly handmade in small and carefully considered batches.

Stay tuned....wood firing next week!

I'm loving the top handle detail. Great connection to the texture on the body. These are going in a good direction.

The best teapot's I've seen in a long long time.
Everything is beautiful, decoration, feet, lid and as for that fantastic handle.
What a pleasure it would be to pour your tea from.
Also the fact that you are making them without the
thought of how long they will take really shows.
Well done.

Thanks so much Ben! Nice to hear from you.

Imagine- thank you for your comments. I hope someone will enjoy pouring tea from them as much as I've enjoyed making them!
