Textures of the week

The repetition in patterns everywhere intrigue me. Most of my carving patterns are hand carved with a linoleum block carving tool that I once used in a college printmaking course.  This week I'm enjoying the ripple carved pot in the middle.  Sometimes I find other interesting tools like shells, bark, and metal to create texture, as well as the simplest of tools, the wooden rib, for the fluted appearance on the far right cup.

  2. mm, textures! I also love the look and feel of textures on a piece of pottery. Your glaze method does a beautiful job of highlighting your hand work :)
