Yay!

Where have I been lately? Getting married!

This blog usually is all clay talk- but I did marry a potter! So it's official now! Will and I are two potters made for each other! We had a very simple, small outdoor wedding at beautiful Mountain Farm in Burnsville, a lavender farm overlooking the Black Mountain Range. Being photography lovers, we were so happy with our photographer Sunday Grant from Black Mountain. And of course, we had some pottery mixed into the celebration too, with my handmade flower vases spread throughout the reception.

It was such a sweet and lovely day and I'm so happy to share our joy with you!

Toe River Studio Tour!

It's that time of year again when all the artists in our area dust out their studios and let you come in behind the scenes to see the action. The studio tour for the Toe River Arts Council is June 10-12 here in Mitchell and Yancey counties of North Carolina. Only an hour from Asheville, NC, you can tour over 100 artists on a self guided tour. At the Energy XChange, my work will be exhibited along with 4 other potters, and two glassblowers.

Be sure not to miss this stop- it's in the Penland area, and you can hit several other great studios only minutes from the XChange.
