Hi friend! I am loving my twilight cup! By the way, what does "wad all the pots" mean?
I heard the article made it into the Mitchell paper about the footbridges, but I haven't (obviously) seen it yet. I've also decided to wait on calling DOT about what we saw. Better to fight that battle from the homefront rather than a distance.
Hope you're well!

"to wad" means to place three small bean sized balls of clay mixed with alumina (a soda resistant material) to the bottom of each piece before loading it into the soda kiln. this way the soda doesn't stick the pot to the shelf, and you can always tell a soda/salt or wood fired pot by the three white marks on the bottom of each piece. ha...guess to someone who doesn't know, to wad sounds like I'm throwing all the pots in the corner or something....
i'll try to find the paper, missed it today, big loading day tomorrow, (thursday!) hope you're having fun!
