Joy,
I've missed your blog the past day or so. Thanks for the beautiful photos. It's making me yearn for a beach trip!
Warm regards,

Great pictures. I love that area - spent every summer growing up in Charleston with cousins -- Isle of Palms, James Island, Edisto River. It's such a beautiful place. Your pictures brought back some great memories!
I've paddled those very waters! and Gerry shot a very similar picture of those patterns. Beautiful isn't it? I took art classes in Pawley's when I was in high school from an artist named Pete Prezkop. He had a wonderful studio there. Every time I smell turpentine it takes me back to his place.
Wow, that is one of my favorite places. But I've never kayaked there, I never kayaked! I've always loved the coast in winter. It's very quiet. Happy 2009. See you at Clay Club?
It indeed is a special place, I was so excited about the texture, of course! It was nice and quiet! I'm excited to go back. I'll post some more texture pics, soon, I'm itching to show them, although I'm really holding back because I took hundreds of pictures. I'm sure the textures will incorporate into my work someday!
Michael-I might hitch a ride with JB to Clayclub if it works out.
